Au Pair in South America

You can select between three different programs. Become part of your host family and spend six, nine or twelve unforgettable months in your new home.

Your main tasks as an Au Pair are: 

  • Playing with the kids
  • Supporting the kids with their homework
  • Preparation of light meals
  • Help the kids shower and get them dressed
  • Keep kids rooms and playing areas clean
  • Do the kids laundry 
  • Organize and participate in playdates
  • Drive kids to activities
  • Light housekeeping referring to the kids and the common living together

The Framework:

  • The Au Pair works max 45 hours per week
  • The Au Pair needs to have 1.5 days off per week
  • One weekend per month needs to be completely off for the Au Pair
  • The Au Pair has 14 days paid vacation during a 12 month stay, or 1.5 days per month during a shorter stay
  • The Au Pair receives a weekly payment of 1.200 ARS (Argentinia)/320 R$ (Brasil)
  • You live together with your host family in your own room 

The following requirements need to be fulfilled:

  • You have to be between 18 and 26 years old
  • You should be able to provide a record of 120 hours of childcare of unrelated kids from at least two different sources. If you want to take care of children under 3 years you should provide a record of at least 200 hours
  • You should enjoy the work with children
  • English is a must. You should be able to read, speak and write it fluently. Basic knowledge in Spanish is required
  • Ideally you own a drivers licence and you have some experience in driving a car already (not obligatory) 
  • You need to be graduated from school after your (at least) 10th year or have completed an apprenticeship
  • No criminal record
